Mad Catz Rolls Out New Gamer Gear

Mad Catz Interactive recently showcased many new gaming peripherals at E3. From Joysticks to Headphones, even a connoisseur of gaming tech would blink twice at what’s being offered.

Up first is the Arcade FightStick Tournament Edition 2, a premium quality fighting game controller for the Xbox One:
Expected to be the first fighting game controller available for Xbox One, the Tournament Edition 2 Arcade FightStick features arcade-perfect controls and has been extensively designed with the community and professional gamer in mind. The new design philosophy will offer greater levels of customization and quality.

Next up is the C.T.R.L.R Wireless GamePad, which will provide the performance, interface modes, and connectivity to deliver a console-quality experience from the broadest range of mobile and smart devices.
Mad-Catz-CTRLR-Wireless-Gamepad-Hero-300x229The C.T.R.L.R features three Human Interface Device (HID) modes to support all game interfaces:

– GameSmart Mode implements the standard HID controls for simplified gaming on the Android™ platform.

– Mouse Mode for touch screen games.

– PC Mode implements standard PC pad controls.

In addition, the C.T.R.L.R features both Bluetooth® Classic and Bluetooth Smart (4.0) technologies to enable connectivity to current, future and legacy smart devices.

Moving along we have the M.O.J.O., an Android™ Micro Console configured to harness the maximum gaming horsepower from an Android device.
M.O.J.O. is basically a supercharged smart phone with no screen that plugs into your flat screen TV to bring the living room experience to mobile gaming. It’s designed to interact seamlessly with GameSmart controllers, mice, keyboards and headsets, in fact, the entire eco-system of gaming peripherals. It is expected to include the Mad Catz C.T.R.L.R Wireless GamePad.

Additionally we’re going to see the F.R.E.Q. 4D Gaming Headset for Windows® PC and Smart Devices.
Part of the Company’s GameSmart range, the F.R.E.Q. 4D is the first Mad Catz headset to feature ViviTouch™ 4D Sound. Designed to add a new dimension of sound perception to the gaming experience, ViviTouch 4D Sound combines muscular bass with sensory feedback, producing an actual physical sensation to the gaming audio. In addition to gaming use, the F.R.E.Q. 4D is equally at home with movies or music, featuring multiple EQ settings and a detachable in-line cable which allows for easy conversion from USB to 3.5mm to support standard stereo audio on iPhone®, tablets and most smart devices. It will be available in gloss black, gloss white and gloss red colors.

Finally, there is my favorite, the S.T.R.I.K.E.3 Professional Gaming Keyboard for Windows® PC.
The Strike3 has been designed with the competitive gamer in mind, offering an impressive feature set and a unique membrane key-bed designed to offer the full tactile feedback of mechanical keys but without the excessive noise or the need to ‘bottom out’ the keys. It features a full RGB backlit key-bed, capable of displaying up to sixteen million customizable colors, with an additional total of twelve macro keys and three separate modes of operation, providing a total of thirty-six programmable buttons.

The S.T.R.I.K.E.3 will be available in gloss black, gloss white and gloss red colors.

The Keyboard and Headphones will be released in the Fall of 2013
The Joistic, Wireless Gamepad, and M.O.J.O will be released for Holiday 2013
