Fallout 4 Bethesda Showcase
Bethesda announced last night at their first ever E3 showcase more details was shown on Fallout 4! So far what we know from last night is the game is set 200 years after the Great War of 2077 so its set around the same time that Fallout 3 takes place I want to say(don’t quote me on that).
Bethesda teased the beginning sequence on the character generation at “your” home in 2077 a few hours prior to the nuclear bomb, you get to choose between male and female characters like always but the character creation seems more in depth than in previous games Todd Howard discussed that you can pretty much mold your character however you want it to look, and then they mold together the characters together to create your “child” no further news on where that goes was given.
Shortly after that a gentleman from Vault Tec shows up at your front door telling you that your family is accepted to stay in one of their vaults for any impending nuclear attacks(where we all know how that goes) then you’re taken to see your baby in the crib and you can hear the television in the background that the nuclear bombs had hit other places already and your wife tells you to grab the baby and then the two make for the door and are running down the way towards where the vault is, as your standing on a vertical door to it( I know right??) you can see a mushroom cloud and then Todd Howard cuts off the demo of the story right there not to show any spoilers in the vault.
You are then taken back out into the wasteland and make your way to your home with your Mr. Handy outside of your house saying that “Master you are 200 years late for dinner” in which your character is dumb founded and confused thinking it had only been a day or two so possibly the vault you are in put you in a cryo sleep?
and then it cuts to finding a dog someplace in the wasteland and then you see a possible safe house where you can customize a lot of your items, Todd Howard exclaimed that you can customize 700+ weapons you find in the wasteland and you can even customize power armor that you find in the game, and now you can even make your own town from what it seems with unlimited customization options, and kind of customize your home base! (who knows you could even make Barter Town! 😉 )
Bethesda then teases combat showing that VATS is still available in 4. Todd Howard then announces that the collector’s edition of Fallout 4 will include a version of the new PIP-BOY accessory that you can put your phone into and use a version of the menu for the game with your phone and you can even use it without the accessory.
as of today at the Microsoft press conference it was announced that Bethesda is making mods available cross platforms on the Xbox One as well we will see if Sony follows suite with this at the conference later today possibly? Todd Howard closes the demo out with saying that Fallout 4 will be available THIS YEAR on November 10th, 2015 for PC, Xbox One, and Playstation 4.
